Memorial Day BBQ

We hosted a Memorial Day BBQ at our house along with some friends (neighbors). Over 35 people showed up. Everyone seemed to have a really good time.

The kiddo's enjoyed yard games and later roasted marshmellows.

Estes Park!!!

We took a trip to Estes Park as a family along with Nate's brother, sister-in-law and family. (As I looked through my camera, I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of them.) We had such a good time---fishing, shopping, enjoying the jazz fesitval and the Stanley Hotel! (See pictures of Stanley Hotel below)

Stanley Hotel

The Stanley Hotel...opened in 1909. It was the location of Stephen King's Mini-Series movie "The Shining" What a sight to see!!!


This is room "217". If you remember the movie in room 217 was where all the scarey stuff happened. I'm not sure that this was the "actual" room used for the movie, it's just the room that holds number 217. People stay at this hotel and I asked about prices, depending on the season, and exactly what part of the hotel you want to stay but it ranges from $200.00-800.00 a night.
